It will be available in October 2017 and is now open for pre-order. The only keyboard controllers with 25 or 49 full-size keys integrating a professional high-definition audio interface, iRig Keys I/O features 24-bit audio up to 96kHz sampling rate, a combo input jack for line, instrument or mic input with phantom power, balanced stereo output and high quality 1/8″ headphone output ideal for use with the latest Apple® devices like the iPhone® 7. iRig Keys I/O also includes all the controls users would expect from a premium keyboard, including velocity sensitive multicolored pads and programmable touch-sensitive sliders, buttons and knobs in an ultra-portable package that includes everything needed to create complete music productions and is unmatched for speed and simplicity to connect and set up.

iRig Keys I/O range

Built-in professional audio interface
iRig Keys I/O is the only controller range currently available on the market today featuring a professional 24-bit, 96kHz capable audio interface. This keeps cabling to a minimum and makes setting up as fast and easy as just plug and play. For recording, the combination input handles 1/4″ or XLR sources and provides the best possible audio quality with a Class A preamp for dynamic and condenser mics (including 48V phantom power), to line instruments along with guitars and basses. When used in live performances the 1/4″ balanced stereo output allows for long cable runs directly to a PA or mixer which is perfect for keyboard players and DJs. All of this makes iRig Keys I/O the ideal creative tool for studio or live use, in any situation, providing a solution that is more convenient and affordable than having to buy a controller and audio interface separately.

Control with touch
Starting with a fast synth-action keyboard that improves on all previous IK keyboards, iRig Keys I/O includes all the controls expected from a premium controller and more. Both models feature a volume/data push knob, 4 touch-sensitive knobs on 2 banks (acting as 8 total controls) and 8 multicolored LED velocity-sensitive pads. There are also 2 fully programmable touch control strips acting by default as Pitch and Modulation controls. A complete touch sensitive transport and button section rounds out the controls available. All knobs, sliders, and buttons are touch-sensitive using capacitive technology for ultra-fast action and immediate feedback, displaying the related parameter value just with a simple touch.

True plug-and-play
Being certified Apple MFi hardware (Made for iPhone and iPad) and thanks to the on-board audio interface, iRig Keys I/O works out of the box with all iOS devices with a Lightning port, including the latest generation iPhone 7 that does not have an audio output jack. The included Lighting cable allows for easy plug-and-play operation with Apple iOS devices and the USB cable connects Mac and PC computers. iRig Keys I/O also works seamlessly with popular Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software like GarageBand®, Logic®, Ableton® Live™ and more.

iRig Keys I/O 25 iRig Keys I/O 49

Goes anywhere
iRig Keys I/O 25 and 49 key versions are the smallest controllers with full-size keys on the market today. This is a great advantage when working in studios or environments where space is at a premium and ideal for the traveling musician, not only for their ultra-compact size but also because they are 25% lighter than the nearest competitor. Furthermore, iRig Keys I/O can be powered by USB, an optional external power supply (that simultaneously charges an iOS device) or with 4 AA batteries for mobile music production anywhere.

Full suite of software included
With over $/€550 (in the 25-key version) and $/€750 (in the 49-key version) worth of IK software and apps, iRig Keys I/O includes an unrivaled selection of software allowing for complete productions when combined with a DAW or free composing and recording software like GarageBand. Included in both 25 and 49 key versions is Ableton® Live 9 Lite™ digital audio workstation, SampleTank 3 sound and groove workstation with over 43GB and 5000 sounds, T-RackS 4 Deluxe mix and mastering suite with 9 EQ and dynamics processors, and the Syntronik Pro-V vintage synthesizer. Plus, iPhone and iPad users receive the full version of SampleTank. Additionally, the 49-key version comes with Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE orchestral workstation for Mac/PC and the mobile edition for iOS.

Pricing and availability
iRig Keys I/O will be available in October 2017 and can be pre-ordered now from the IK Multimedia online store and IK authorized dealers worldwide for the remarkably affordable price of only $/€299.99* for the 49-key version and $/€199.99 for the 25-key version. In addition to the massive bundle of included software, iRig Keys I/O also comes with 4 x AA batteries, Mini-DIN to USB and Mini-DIN to Lightning cables and a device stand for iPhone and iPad.

IK Multimedia announces Syntronik™ – The legendary synth powerhouse for Mac/PC

May 25, 2017 Comments off

May 25, 2017 – IK Multimedia is proud to introduce Syntronik, the new cutting-edge virtual synthesizer for Mac/PC, which will be available in July 2017 and is now open for pre-order. Syntronik raises the bar in virtual instrument technology, sound quality and flexibility thanks to a brand new combination of the most advanced sampling techniques with a new hybrid sample and modeling synthesis engine, an arsenal of high-quality modeled effects and innovative instrument features that provide players and producers with the ultimate and best-sounding collection of vintage synthesizers to date.

Syntronik

A breakthrough in the world of virtual synthesizers
Syntronik includes 17 amazing instruments, available as a collection or separately, with over 2,000 preset sounds covering a wide selection from 38 of the most iconic to ultra-rare and painstakingly multi-sampled vintage synthesizers. Syntronik‘s synthesis engine goes well beyond traditional sampling thanks to a brand new analog modeled filter section built with the highest expertise from IK, the pioneer in virtual circuit modeling. This is coupled with the new exclusive DRIFT™ technology to accurately reproduce the behavior of oscillators from real hardware synths. All of this combined with an effects section that is unrivaled in the world of virtual instruments along with advanced features like 4-part layers, splits and arpeggiators make Syntronik the ultimate source of inspiration with the widest palette of synthesizer sounds ranging from exact reproductions of the originals to sounds never heard before that will stand out from the crowd in productions covering any genre and style.

Capturing the synthesizer DNA of a collector’s dream
IK Multimedia has spared no effort in crafting an instrument that provides the highest standard of sound quality. Only the best synthesizer models have been sourced from private collections and carefully selected prior to being meticulously multi-sampled using the most advanced techniques developed by the IK team to ensure that the authentic character of the originals is captured and reproduced down to the tiniest nuance. 70,000 individual samples and 50 GB of extreme-quality sounds later, Syntronik is ready to set a new standard in the world of virtual instruments.

The 38 instruments included in Syntronik are: Modular Moog, Minimoog Model D, Moog Voyager, Moog Taurus I, Moog Taurus II, Moog Taurus 3, Polymoog, Moog Opus 3, Moog Rogue, Realistic Concertmate MG-1, Multimoog, Micromoog, Moog Prodigy, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, Sequential Circuits Prophet-10, ARP 2600, Oberheim SEM, Oberheim OB-X, Oberheim OB-Xa, Yamaha CS-80, Yamaha GX-1, Yamaha CS-01II, Yamaha SY99, Roland Juno-60, Roland Jupiter-8, Roland Jupiter-6, Roland Jupiter-4, Roland JX-10, Roland JX-8P, Roland JX-3P, Roland TB-303 Bassline, Alesis Andromeda, PPG Wave 2.3, ARP String Ensemble, Elka Rhapsody 490, Hohner String Performer, Roland RS-505 Paraphonic, Roland RS-09 Organ/Strings.

Syntronik

Hybrid Synthesis Architecture
IK Multimedia developed a new synthesis engine for Syntronik that models 4 of the best sounding analog filters of all time: Moog transistor ladder, (found in the Minimoog and Modular Moog), Roland’s IR3109 chip (found in the Jupiter-8 and Juno-60), the famous Curtis CEM3320 chip (found in the Prophet-5, Oberheim OB-Xa and Memorymoog) and the Oberheim SEM state variable filter. This hybrid architecture allows for pristine reproduction of the most critical section of every synthesizer. Plus, every filter is selectable within each included synthesizer, enabling users to create their own combinations by mixing or matching at will – like using a Moog filter with Oberheim oscillators – to produce sounds beyond imagination. Syntronik also provides powerful digital filters like Formant and Phase filters that can take the analog source oscillators into other dimensions for modern timbral exploration.

New DRIFT™ Technology
When it comes to accurately reproducing the real sound of vintage synthesizers, sampling their oscillators is the only way to ensure truly authentic results. IK developers have worked tirelessly to capture multiple round robins of single oscillators as well as oscillator combinations (including sync and FM sweeps). Syntronik also includes a new DRIFT algorithm that breathes more life into the sampled oscillators themselves. Typically sample-based synthesizers have the limitation of having always the same exact sample attack, something that does not happen in their true hardware counterparts. IK’s DRIFT technology varies the phase, color and pitch of the sampled oscillators to keep them moving just like the real analog oscillators do. Much more than simple detuning or even multiple-source modulation, DRIFT emulates the way real analog circuits behave over time. The result is the organic, living sound of analog that is the start of any classic synthesis chain.

4-part layering and arpeggiators
Syntronik‘s streamlined interface allows for quick layering and combining of up to 4 different synthesizer parts, quick mapping and playing sounds simultaneously as well as creating advanced splits for maximum flexibility and performance. In addition to this, each synthesizer part features a powerful note and chord arpeggiator with its own assignable range and settings as well as the ability to store all information for instant recall, enabling users to build complex rhythmic textures and sequences in a snap.

An arsenal of effects
Syntronik comes with 38 high-quality effects derived from IK’s world-class T-RackSmix and mastering suite and AmpliTube guitar workstation plus new effects like the new Ensemble Chorus and vintage analog Channel Strip. 5 effects can be simultaneously inserted on every instrument via an attractive “lunchbox-style” interface that allows for immediate visualization and editing of every parameter from a single screen.

SampleTank-ready
Syntronik‘s sounds can be opened seamlessly in SampleTank 3 allowing them to be used together with the ever-growing number of acoustic and electronic instruments included in the industry-standard sound and groove workstation, to build complete soundtracks for any style of music.

Pricing and availability
Syntronik is expected to ship in July 2017, and will be priced at $/€299.99* with a crossgrade version available for $/€199.99 (eligible to any registered IK users with a purchase of $/€99.99 or greater).
The 17 instruments comprising Syntronik will also be available separately for $/€49.99 each upon release.

Syntronik can be pre-ordered now at a special 50% discount introductory price of only €/$149.99 with crossgrade for as low as only €/$99.99.

IK Multimedia. Musicians First.

December 8, 2016 IK Multimedia once again redefines a product category for guitarists with the newly released iRig Nano Amp – the versatile micro amp with a built-in iOS interface. iRig Nano Amp gives players both a standalone portable guitar amplifier PLUS an interface that lets them plug their guitar into an iPhone or iPad and use AmpliTube for iOS to access an unlimited and inspirational world of guitar tones on the go. iRig Nano Amp is available now from IK Multimedia and music and electronics retailers around the world.

iRig Nano Amp

The first micro amp and interface for mobile guitarists
iRig Nano Amp is a super-compact, battery-powered, self-contained micro amp and interface for iOS that players can use by itself, with headphones or even an external speaker cabinet – this power-packed amazing little amp can drive up to a 4×12″ guitar cab! But what makes it more versatile than any other micro amp available is that it features the iRig circuitry so that guitarists can plug their iPhone or iPad into it with the included TRRS cable and tap into the limitless world of AmpliTube guitar tone and more.

Dual Mode Operation – AMP/DEVICE
What makes iRig Nano Amp so unique is that it operates in two different modes: AMP & DEVICE. In AMP mode it’s a standalone amp for impromptu practice anywhere. In DEVICE mode it’s used as an interface and amp for an iOS device. Plus, in both modes players can use the built-in speaker or hook up an external speaker cabinet – up to a 4×12″ cab – for more volume and tonal clarity.

AMP mode
iRig Nano Amp operates as a straight-up guitar amp and features a British tone stack circuit with tone and volume controls for practice on the go. Players simply plug their guitar into the 1/4″ guitar input, adjust the volume and gain settings, select the output type NORMAL/BRIGHT and rock out. The British tone circuit delivers sparkling clean tones at lower gain settings and a cascading wave of overdrive when cranked to the upper limits.

DEVICE mode
iRig Nano Amp is also an interface and monitor for an iOS device thanks to its integrated iRig circuit. Players use the included TRRS cable to hook up iRig Nano Amp in DEVICE mode to an iPhone or iPad and plug in to the amazing toneful world of AmpliTube to play, practice and record anywhere, any time. This is great for grabbing ideas in AmpliTube’s 4-track looper or recording studio, or just practicing with the models of AmpliTube gear and more. When used in DEVICE mode, the internal tone stack circuit is bypassed and the volume knob controls the overall output of the amp. Headphones can be used in DEVICE mode for monitoring the processed signal coming from the device.

Drive a cab
iRig Nano Amp features a 1/4″ speaker out jack that can drive up to a 4×12″ cabinet. Once plugged in, guitarists will be floored by the volume and tonal definition that iRig Nano Amp provides. An external cabinet can be used in both AMP and DEVICE modes providing the most flexibility of any micro amp available.

Under the hood
iRig Nano Amp is compact – it’s just slightly larger than an iPhone and features a handy “kickstand” for tilting back the unit for better monitoring. Inside, iRig Nano Amp powers a 3″ speaker with a 3-watt class A/B power amp. It features a 1/4″ guitar input, a 1/4″ speaker output, an 1/8″ headphone jack, is powered by 3 AA batteries (included) and comes complete with a TRRS cable for connection to an iOS device. iRig Nano Amp can be used in 3 output monitoring options – in DEVICE mode with headphones for private practice, or with the internal speaker active or external speaker cabinet connected to the 1/4″ speaker out in both DEVICE or AMP modes.

An expandable universe of tone
Since iRig Nano Amp lets players plug into their iPhone or iPad, they’ll have access to AmpliTube for iOS – the largest and expandable collection of virtual gear available from the world’s top manufacturers. Available models include amps and stomps from Fender®, Ampeg®, MESA/Boogie®, Orange® and signature artists like Slash, Jimi Hendrix™ and more. With iRig Nano Amp and AmpliTube, a complete guitar rig is always close at hand.

Pricing and availability
iRig Nano Amp is available now from IK retailers worldwide or from the IK online store for only $/€49.99 (excluding taxes).
